On November 21, the National Marine Ship Standardization Technical Committee organized a national standard review meeting in Wuxi. After the evaluation by the industry experts, the national standard "Quality Requirements for the Construction of Jack-up Drilling Platform" edited by Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. passed the examination smoothly.

The national standard "Quality Requirements for Construction of Jack-up Drilling Platform" was approved and approved by the National Standardization Committee in 2015. Several design and construction units of Jack-up Drilling Platform in the United Nations jointly participated in the compilation of Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding and reached an industry consensus, which took three years to complete. This standard solidifies the quality control requirements, inspection items and construction accuracy during the construction of jack-up drilling platform. It provides a basis for the coordination of quality opinions among shipowners, ship inspection, design units and shipyards. It is also an important and basic technical document for the design and construction of jack-up drilling platform.

The experts attended the meeting heard the report on the compilation of standards by the editor-in-chief and reviewed the relevant information. They believed that the standards conformed to the current technical development trend of the design and construction of marine engineering equipment in China. The structure was reasonable, clear, operable and the technical content reached the international leading level. After a vote by the National Marine Ship Standardization Technical Committee, it was agreed that the national standard should pass the industry review and be submitted for approval as a recommended national standard after revision.

The publication and implementation of this national standard will become an important technical support and guide for the design and construction of marine engineering equipment for jack-up drilling platforms with operating depth of 300 feet and above in China. It will play an important role in supporting jack-up drilling platforms in terms of negotiating external orders, improving design level and improving construction efficiency, and will be further developed. Strengthening the core competitiveness of China''s marine engineering has a positive and far-reaching significance for the development of China''s marine engineering equipment.
